魏军城教授受邀做天元名家讲堂

2025年3月18日，应国家天元数学东南中心与厦门大学数学科学学院邀请，香港中文大学魏军城教授为我院师生做了题为《Compactness of Q-curvature Problem》的学术报告。厦门大学数学科学学院院长夏超教授主持讲座，并为专家颁发东南中心名家讲堂纪念牌。

       本次讲座中，魏军城教授首先回顾了共形几何以及经典Yamabe问题的历史，由此引出了Q曲率Yamabe问题以及Q曲率的紧性问题。随后，魏教授介绍了其近期对于Q曲率的紧性问题的相关工作：即Q曲率问题的解空间是紧或非紧的一些判别条件。最后，魏教授对于未来Q曲率的相关问题进行了展望。通过这次报告，魏教授清晰地向听众介绍了共形几何与偏微分方程的紧密联系以及研究Q曲率的基本方法和有待解决的关键问题。

讲座结束后，魏军城教授与参加讲座的师生们展开热烈讨论，并耐心地解答了师生们提出的问题。

       专家个人简介：Professor Jun-Cheng Wei is currently Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mathematics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He works in the area of nonlinear partial differential equations, nonlinear analysis and mathematical biology. He received a Silver Morningside Medal in 2010, and was an invited speaker at the 2014 International Congress of Mathematicians. Professor Wei was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada FRSC in 2019, and awarded the CMS Jeffery-Williams Prize and Simons Fellow in Mathematics in 2020.  Since 1994, Professor Wei has over 500 published articles in top journals, including Annals of Mathematics, Inventiones Mathematicae, Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics and Duke Mathematical journal. As of 2023, Professor Wei’s scholarly work has been cited over 20,000 times and has an h-index of 73.
