Representations of quivers provide a convenient setting for the formulation of classification problems in linear algebra.

The talk provides a gentle introduction to the subject, explaining in particular a result of Gabriel about quivers of Dynkin type.

个人简介：

Henning Krause，德国Bielefeld大学W3教授，著名代数学家，美国数学会会士，挪威皇家科学院院士。曾任德国Paderborn大学C4教授、知名杂志《Advances in Mathematics》编委。他在代数的稳定等价、三角范畴的局部化理论以及三角范畴的支撑簇理论等方面做出了重要的研究成果，在《JAMS》与《Inventiones Mathematicae》等顶级期刊上发表论文。
