The soliton resolution conjecture asserts that any global solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger equations decomposes in large time into a sum of solitons and a dispersive remainder. We will start by reviewing briefly the history of the discovery of solitons and multi-solitons. We will then illustrate the soliton resolution conjecture on a toy model. Finally, we will present various results that are milestones towards a proof of this conjecture: soliton stability, existence and stability of multi-solitons.
个人简介:
Stefan Le Coz, an associate professor at University of Toulouse. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Franche-Comté in 2007, and subsequently held postdoctoral positions at SISSA and Paris 6. His research focuses on nonlinear dispersive PDEs, with particular interest in solitons, multi-solitons, blow-up solutions, and more recently, nonlinear quantum graphs.
