In this talk, we discuss the derivation of simultaneous energy estimates for acoustic and vorticity waves within the rarefaction wave region of the two-dimensional isentropic Euler equations. We also examine nonlinear superposition principles involving rarefaction waves with other waves such as vortex sheets. This is joint work with Prof. Jin Jia of Hunan University.

个人简介：

罗涛，香港城市大学数学系教授，1995年于中国科学院数学与科学研究院获得博士学位。曾任职于密歇根大学安娜堡分校，乔治城大学和伍斯特理工学院。罗涛教授的主要研究方向为非线性偏微分方程及其分析，包括流体力学方程的数学理论、流体自由边界问题、双曲守恒律、变分法等，研究成果发表于Comm. Pure Appl. Math.、Comm. Math. Phys.、Adv. Math.、Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.等学术期刊。
