内容摘要:

I: In the first part, I will discuss some general background and motivation from viewpoint of caculus of variations. In the second part, I will give a survey on some recent progress on Hamiltonian stationary submanifolds.

II: We discuss a Lichnerowicz type homotopy lemma for mapping with boundary and then use it to study holomorphic disks from the point of view of free boundary minimal surface and harmonic map. 

个人简介：

陈竞一，加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学教授、博士生导师。本科毕业于北京大学数学系，在斯坦福大学获得博士学位。主要从事微分几何、微分方程领域的研究，在Invent. Math., Duke Math. J., GAFA, CPAM, Crelle’s J.等国际著名期刊上发表论文四十多篇。曾经荣获加拿大数学会Coxeter-James奖、Andre Aisenstadt奖以及美国Sloan Fellowship等。曾经在美国加州大学尔湾分校、美国西北大学以及美国麻省理工学院工作。
