内容摘要:

In this talk, we introduce a notion of clock moves for spanning trees in plane graphs. This enables us to develop a spanning tree model of an Alexander polynomial for a plane graph and prove the unimodal property of its associate coefficient sequence. In particular, this confirms the trapezoidal conjecture for planar singular knots and gives new insights to Fox's original conjecture on alternating knots. This is a joint work with Zhongtao Wu.

个人简介：

廖文博，香港中文大学博士研究生，师从吴忠涛。主要研究兴趣为图论，纽结理论，以及Heegaard Floer同调在低维拓扑中的应用。
