Multiscale homogenization is a mathematical method used to analyze partial differential equations (PDEs) in heterogeneous media with coefficients that vary on multiple oscillating scales. The classical homogenization theory, which addresses PDEs with a single oscillating scale, has been well-established so far. The multiscale homogenization is more complicated due to the interactions between different oscillating scales, particularly when these scales are not separated. In this talk, I will provide an overview of general homogenization theory and discuss recent progress on multiscale elliptic homogenization.
个人简介:
诸葛金平,中国科学院晨兴数学中心副研究员。2019年博士毕业于University of Kentucky,2019年9月至2022年6月在芝加哥大学数学系任Dickson Instructor. 主要研究领域为偏微分方程的均匀化理论。其研究成果先后发表在J. Eur. Math. Soc., Anal. PDE, Adv. Math., J. Math. Pures Appl.和J. Funct. Anal.等国际著名数学期刊上。
