In this talk, I will give an introduction to higher index of Dirac operators and discuss some recent development on its applications to solving problems from differential geometry. I will make an effort for this talk to be accessible to non-experts.
个人简介：
Guoliang Yu is the Powell Chair in Mathematics and University Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University. He was an invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2006. He is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society and also a Simons Fellow in Mathematics. His research interests include large-scale geometry, K-theory, index theory, manifold topology and geometry, and operator algebras.
