I will start with the classical Branching Problem on representations of groups and explain further development of this problem. The main theme is to discuss the meaning of such a classical problem in automorphic forms and the Langlands program, which can be formulated by means of Integral Transforms.

个人简介：

江迪华，美国明尼苏达大学终身教授，美国数学会会士，他是研究自守表示理论及“数学界的大一统理论”-朗兰兹纲领的世界著名专家。1982年本科毕业于浙江师范学院。之后在华东师范大学获得硕士学位、在美国俄亥俄州立大学获得博士学位。江迪华教授先后在美国伯克利国家数学研究所、耶鲁大学、普林斯顿高等研究院等国际知名大学和研究机构工作，并于2004年晋升为明尼苏达大学正教授。他先后获斯隆奖，西蒙斯奖。其研究结果发表在包括 Annals of Math., Invent. Math., Journal of AMS, Journal of EMS, Memoirs of AMS.等世界顶尖数学杂志。
