This talk is an illustration of how the speaker teaches trigonometric functions such as their definition, continuity, and differentiability, this semester to a group of smart students at Shandong University. The first step is to introduce the qualitative concept of rectifiable curves then prove that monotonic curves are of this property via the least upper bound property of the real number system. A decisive part of our approach is inspired by K. Kodaira’s discussions of clockwise rotational transformation. Part of this work was collaborated with Nicolas Fardin.
个人简介：
李良攀，山东大学数学学院基础数学研究所教授，主要从事微分算子谱理论的研究，目前已在SIAM J. Math. Anal, Mathematika, J. Geom. Phys, J. Spectral Theory等期刊上发表各类研究论文20余篇。报告人非常关注本科分析类数学课程较为底层的一些专题，譬如数学分析领域里的十进制无限小数的四则运算，三角函数的严密化，以及向量值隐映射定理的初等简化证明等等。
