After reviewing the basic definitions about gradings, it will be shown how gradings by abelian groups on a (not necessarily associative) algebra correspond to morphisms from diagonalizable group schemes to the automorphism group scheme of the algebra. This is the clue to classify gradings on simple Lie algebras. The known classification results of such gradings will be surveyed.
个人简介：
Professor Alberto Elduque received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the University of Zaragoza, where he is currently Full Professor. He served as Department Chair during 2004-2008. He was previously a professor at the Universities of Zaragoza and La Rioja, and has held visiting positions at the Universities of Wisconsin-Madison, Metz, Pau, and Memorial University of Newfoundland.His research focuses on Nonassociative Algebras, with a stress on not necessarily unital composition algebras and their interactions with Lie algebras and superalgebras. He has authored and coauthored more than one hundred and fifty papers and two monographies, and has supervised nine doctoral students.His outreach activities include the organization of a biweekly activity for high school students. He serves currently as the secretary of the Royal Academy of Sciences of Zaragoza.
