Yangians are certain deformations of the classical Lie algebras, introduced by Drinfeld to provide a systematic framework to solve the celebrated Yang-Baxter equation. Many Lie theoretical results can be better treated in terms of Yangians. Starting from the matrix algebras, we will examine the associated Yangian algebras and discuss some recent developments of the Drinfeld realization, including joint work with Ming Liu and Alexander Molev.
个人简介：
景乃桓，美国北卡州立大学教授。曾获国家海外杰出青年基金（2008），2004-05年德国洪堡学者，2003年美国富尔布莱特学者。作为客座教授多次访问美国伯克利数学研究所、德国波恩马普数学研究所、德国莱比锡马普应用数学所等著名数学中心。主要从事代数学和数学物理（量子群和无限维李代数，表示论，代数组合）的研究。
