In this talk, we consider the expressions of large integers $n$ as sums of unlike powers $$n=x_1^2+\cdots+x_s^{s+1}.$$ We shall explain how to solve the above equation in $s=13$ variables, and therefore improve the record held by Kevin Ford. The proof involves the circle method and the large sieve inequality. This talk is based on a joint work with J. Liu.
个人简介：
赵立璐，山东大学教授，博士生导师。博士毕业于香港大学数学系。曾获香港数学学会优秀博士学位论文奖。研究方向为解析数论和组合数论。在加法组合，圆法和筛法的应用等课题上做了一系列研究。近期，研究成果发表在中国科学，PLMS， Crelle's journal， TAMS等杂志上。
