Can the element-wise (Hadamard) product of two singular and positive-semidefinite matrices be positive definite? How can this be useful in radar signal processing? This talk answers the above questions and illustrates how mathematics can advance the research in engineering and how engineering can inspire mathematical research.
个人简介：
杨在，西安交通大学数学与统计学院教授、博士生导师、国家优秀青年基金获得者。长期从事压缩感知与信息处理的数学理论与应用研究，发表学术论文30余篇，被引用2000余次（谷歌学术）。曾担任2017年欧洲信号处理会议Tutorial主讲人、IEEE高级会员和Signal Processing期刊编委。
