The Cahn-Hilliard equation serves as an efficient mathematical tool for the study on dynamics of binary mixtures within the framework of diffuse interface models. In this talk, we shall review basic concepts of the Cahn-Hilliard equation and then present some recent progresses in its mathematical analysis. (1) We discuss the boundary effects and introduce a new class of dynamic boundary conditions that accounts for nontrivial short-range interactions near the solid wall; (2) We investigate a six order variant of the Cahn-Hilliard equation with logarithmic (singular) potential. For both cases, we prove the well-posedness and long-time behavior.

吴昊,博士,复旦大学数学科学学院教授、博士生导师。2007年博士毕业于复旦大学。入选2019年度国家级高层次青年人才,2015年获中国工业与应用数学学会优秀青年学者奖。主要从事非线性发展方程及相关无穷维动力系统的研究,包括关于多分量体系的相场动力学方程以及液晶流体动力学方程组等,成果发表在Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal., SIAM J. Math. Anal., Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci., Ann. Inst. H. Poincare Anal. Non LineaireJ. Differential Equations等期刊。
