Contact map of protein plays an extremely important role in the study of protein structures. Combinatorially, protein contact maps can be seen as generalization of RNA secondary structures. However, counting protein contact maps is much more difficult than that of RNA secondary structures due to the significant higher vertex degree. In this talk, we will formulate the study of protein contact maps in the framework of combinatorics, like what has been done in the field of RNA secondary structures, and introduce previous and future works of the Nankai Research Group of Combinatorics and Computational Biology.
个人简介:
郭强辉,南开大学数学科学学院副教授。2009年博士毕业于南开大学组合数学中心,曾任天津市数学会第十三届理事会理事。主要研究方向是组合数学与计算生物学,相关论文发表在《Advances in Applied Mathematics》《Journal of Computational Biology》《Bulletin of Mathematical Biology》等应用数学和计算生物学领域重要杂志。主持国家自然科学基金、教育部产学合作协同育人等项目。主编教材5部。
