In this talk, I will present some recent combinatorial studies of RNA secondary structures. The former part is concerned with a new bijection between RNA secondary structures and plane trees and its consequences. The latter part is about enumerating secondary structures taking into account the joint distribution of commonly known structural motifs including helices, hairpin loops, bulges, interior loops, exterior loops and multiloops. In particular, an algorithm (RakeSamp) generating uniformly random secondary structures that satisfy fine motif specifications on the length and degree of various types of loops as well as helices is introduced. The latter is a joint work with Christian Reidys and Michael Waterman. 

人简介

陈小锋,合肥工业大学数学学院研究员、博士生导师、黄山学者特聘教授。在美国弗吉尼亚理工大学取得博士学位,先后任职于华为、美国弗吉尼亚大学。主要研究领域为计数和代数组合与网络动力系统及其在生物数学和移动通信中的应用。已在J. Combin. Theory Ser. A, SIAM J. Appl. Dyn. Syst., SIAM J. Discrete Math., Proc. AMS, Adv. Appl. Math., Bulletin Math. Bio.等期刊发表论文20余篇,出版通信技术专著1部,是40余项关于4G移动通信等技术国内外已授权发明专利发明人。
