In this talk I'll introduce what I think it is a (perhaps in some cases, "the") natural object to study thermodynamic formalism, namely quasi-cocycles. I'll discuss some interesting applications of the concept and I'll establish a Livsic type theorem for them.
This is part of a joint project with Federico Rodriguez-Hertz (PSU), dedicated to understand thermodynamic formalism for some dynamical systems arising from geometry.

个人简介：

Pablo D. Carrasco is a Uruguayan mathematician working in dynamical systems and ergodic theory. He completed his PhD in early 2011 under the supervision of Charles Pugh and Mike Shub at the University of Toronto. He has done postdoctoral studies at IMPA (2011-2013), under the direction of Enrique Pujals, at the ICMC supervised by Ali Tahzibi (2013-2014), and at Penn State University, supervised by Federico Rodriguez-Hertz (2015-2016). He is an assistant professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where he has been working since 2017, and currently is on a visiting professor position at SUSTech. He has published research papers in  Communications in Mathematical Physics， Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, Israel Journal of Mathematics,  Journal of the Institute of Mathematics of Jussieu etc.
