Abstract: Compensated Compactness is one of powerful tool in nonlinear partial differential equation in the last half century. In this talk, we will introduce the basic ideas theoretical framework of the method. Latter, the milestone application in the gas dynamic equations some latest progress will be presented. This talk is based on the joint works with G.-Q. Chen, F.-M. Huang, Y. Wang W. Xiang.

Speaker  Introduction：王天怡，博士，武汉理工大学理学院副教授。武汉大学本科，中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院博士，英国牛津大学联合培养博士，香港中文大学博士后和意大利萨索科学研究所博士后。研究方向为偏微分方程，研究成果发表在Advances in Mathematics、Archive for Rational Mechanics Analysis等本领域国际顶尖学术期刊，SCI 他引31次，专著引用2次。受邀在中国数学会2017年学术年会、HYP (Hyperbolic Problems Theory, Numerics, Applications)和英国牛津大学、英国巴斯大学、美国乔治亚理工学院、意大利萨索科学研究中心、香港中文大学等作学术报告。主持国家自然科学基金项目2项。
