Abstract:   Semi-orthogonal decompositions of the derived categories of abelian categories are used in algebraic geometry to study Fourier-Mukai transforms on derived categories of coherent sheaves, in homotopy theory to get $t$-structures of triangulated categories. However, a fundamental question still remains: How to get such  decompositions. In this talk, we shall give methods to construct such decompositions, then apply them to localizing subcategories, homological ring epimorphisms, commutative noetherian rings non-singular rings.

       Speaker   Introduction惠昌常,代数学专家,首都师范大学教授、博士生导师。在德国Bielefeld大学获博士学位,师从著名代数表示论专家C.M. Ringel教授;曾在Bielefeld大学参加德国科学联合会(DFG)重点项目“代数表示论”的研究工作。1991年回国,先后在德国、英国、比利时、匈牙利、日本、澳大利亚、墨西哥、加拿大、波兰、西班牙等国家访问和合作科研。曾获教育部科技进步二等奖、德国“年轻杰出学者洪堡奖”。主持国家自然科学基金重点项目等。论文发表在Adv. Math., Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., Math. Z., J. Algebra等国际重要杂志上。现为J. Algebra, Arch. Math.等杂志编委。
