内容摘要:
Beginning in the 1960s, Robert Langlands made a series of deep conjectures relating number theory, algebraic geometry, and representation theory. Since that time, his conjectures have guided a great deal of the work in those fields. I will explain a bit of the motivation for his conjectures, and what they have to say about the representation theory of real Lie groups.
