On braid groups and beyond

内容摘要:

We present various realizations of classical braid groups from the viewpoints of algebra, geometry, and topology, along with their corresponding generalizations. In particular, we introduce a new construction of braid groups based on cluster combinatorics. Finally, we outline our novel realization of non-exceptional braid groups of Dynkin/Euclidean type as fundamental groups of moduli spaces.

个人简介：

邱宇，清华大学丘成桐数学科学中心教授，研究领域是代数表示论与几何拓扑，重点研究Calabi-Yau/Fukaya范畴和丛范畴相关的几何拓扑属性。邱宇本科毕业于北京大学(2008)，博士毕业于英国巴斯大学(2011)；先后在加拿大主教大学、挪威科技大学、香港中文大学等地工作；曾获得2016年国际代数表示论会议奖；在Invent. Math., Math. Ann., Compo. Math., PLMS, MAMS等杂志上发表论文20余篇。
