This lecture is divided into two main parts. In the first part, we talk about both classical and recent results related to the well-posedness of the isentropic Navier-Stokes equations. The second part highlights the groundbreaking work by Merle et al on the blow-up of smooth solutions, as well as our own contributions to the blow-up result for monoatomic gases.

个人简介：

章志飞，北京大学数学科学学院博雅特聘教授。章志飞教授的研究专注于偏微分方程的理论领域，尤其在流体动力学方程的适定性理论、液晶的数学理论以及流动稳定性与边界层的数学理论等方面取得了卓越成果。已在 Invent. Math，Forum Math Pi，CPAM，Annales ENS，Mem. AMS，JEMS，PLMS等顶尖数学刊物上发表学术论文150余篇。2014年获国家杰出青年科学基金，2017年入选国家级高层次人才计划，2022年受邀在国际数学家大会做45分钟报告，2024年获得陈省身数学奖。
