Abstract:
Drinfeld-Jimbo quantum groups have played a central role in representation theory, quantum topology, and math physics. The i-quantum groups arising from quantum symmetric pairs can be regarded as a vast generalization of quantum groups. A few years ago, Huanchen Bao in his thesis showed that the i-quantum groups provided a natural setting for generalizations of Jimbo-Schur duality and Lusztig's canonical basis, which had applications to Kazhdan-Lusztig theory. A new striking development recently is the Hall algebra realization of i-quantum groups developed by Ming Lu and his collaborators, and this has led to application to Drinfeld type realization of affine i-quantum groups. In my talk I will give an introduction to i-quantum groups and survey some of these developments.

王伟强,美国弗吉尼亚大学数学系Gordon Whyburn教授,美国数学会会士,国际表示论研究专家。他的系列研究成果发表在《Inv. Math.》, 《Duke Math. J.》等数学重要杂志上,总被引次数过千。由于在量子对称对(i量子群)方面的奠基性工作,王伟强教授与他的学生鲍涣辰在2020年获得由美国数学会颁发的李理论Chevalley奖。
