This will be the 11th of a sequence of conferences on Scientific Computing and Applications held at Xiamen University and Tianyuan Mathematical Center in Southeast China, in Xiamen, Fujian, China, May 27-30, 2019. The main goal of the conferences of this series is to bring together mathematicians, scientists and engineers working in the field of scientific computing and its applications to solve scientific and industrially oriented problems and to provide a forum for the participants to meet and exchange ideas of common interest in an informal atmosphere.
The themes of this particular conference include, but are not limited to, the following topics:
1、High order structure preserving methods for hyperbolic systems and related models;
2、High order energy stable schemes in phase field and related models;
3、High order spectral methods for problems with singular solutions;
4、Recent advances in algorithms for scattering and inverse problems;
5、Scientific and high-performance computing;
6、Uncertainty qualification and big data.
This series of the international conferences on Scientific Computing and Applications is regularly held in every two years in the Pacific Rim region. The previous conferences have been held at Hong Kong (1998 and 2003); Banff, Canada (2000 and 2006); Shanghai, China (2005); Busan, Korea (2008); Dalian, China (2010); Las Vegas, USA (2012); Xi’an, China (2014);Toronto, Canada (2016).
