Abstract:

This talk will focus on mathematical problems arising in the theoretical study of complex soft-matter systems, including the divergent asymptotic behavior of functional series expansions of Green’s functions, the optimization of energy functionals for moving-boundary systems, entropy competition among different degrees of freedom and representations of entropy exchange, as well as multiphysics coupling problems.
