Abstract:

In recent years, variational operator theory has been deeply studied in the fields of ergodic theory and harmonic analysis. The speaker will present some results relating to q-variation inequalities for defferential operators, ergodic averages, and singular integrals, including the weighted case and the vector-valued case.  In particular， the relatioship betweeen the variational inequality and the geometric properties of Banach spaces is discussed when the function takes the Banach space value.
