Abstract:

Hormander (1973) generalized the Fourier expansion operator to the more general oscillatory integral operators, and asked whether similar L^p boundedness for such operators holds. Bourgain (1991) gave a negative answer to Hormander's question. In this talk, we will discuss the Bourgain's contraexample and some positive results about the Hormander operator. This is a joint work with Hong Wang and Ruixiang Zhang.
