Abstract:

In this talk, we will focus on the stability theory for the solitary wave solutions of some dispersive equations. In particular, we discuss the Klein-Gordon equation, generalized derivative nonlinear Schrodinger equation, Boussinesq equation and BBM equation, and prove the instability of the solitary waves for these models in the critical cases, which remains open previously.
