In this talk, I will introduce a joint work with Ming Li (CQUT) on the extension of the famous Gauss-Bonnet-Chern formula in Riemannian geometry to the Finsler setting; furthermore, by a geometric localization process, we get a new proof of Lichnerowicz's GBC-formula in Finsler geometry.

个人简介：

冯惠涛，南开大学教授，博士生导师，主要研究方向为微分几何中的Atiyah-Singer指标理论及其应用。1990年在南开大学数学系获理学硕士学位，1997年在中国科学院数学研究所获理学博士学位，1997年-1999年在南开数学研究所做博士后研究，之后留南开大学工作。目前已在Pacific J. Math., Math. Z., Commun Anal. Geom., Science in China等期刊上发表多篇学术论文。
