XMU Holds the First Session of Academic Committee of Tianyuan Mathematical Center in Southeast China

On the afternoon of January 8, 2019, the first session of Academic Committee of Tianyuan Mathematical Center in Southeast China (TMSE) was held in Building Song’en, Xiamen University. Attendees included Academician Tian Gang, director of Academic Committee of TMSE; Academician Li Jianshu Academician Tang Tao, vice director of Academic Committee of TMSE. Committee members in attendance included academicians Fang Fuquan, Xi Nanhua, Yuan Yaxiang, Zhou Xiangyu Professors Bao Gang, Fan Genghua, Shen Jie, Tan Shaobin, Wang Changping, Xin Zhouping, Zhu Xiping. Also invited to the session were deans of the mathematics schools at the universities which host Tianyuan Mathematical Centers in Southeast, Northeast Northwest China (including Professors Zhang Weinian, Zhao Bin Li Huilai), as well as leading officials academics from other institutions. The session was moderated by Tian Gang.
Firstly, Tian Gang, Li Jianshu Tang Tao presented appointment letters to members of academic committee. Then, the session deliberated adopted Academic Committee Constitution of Tianyuan Mathematical Center in Southeast China, Co-construction Units List Executive Committee List. The session also determined the Logo of the center after heated discussion. Finally, Tan Shaobin, secretary of academic committee, gave a speech from six aspects including brief introduction of School of Mathematics Sciences, Xiamen University, operating organization of TMSE, academic activities of TMSE in 2019, budget of TMSE in 2019, operation guarantee of TMSE future planning of TMSE.
